Downtown Disney is comprised of three distinct areas including the Downtown Disney West Side, the Downtown Disney Marketplace, and Pleasure Island. At the Downtown Disney West Side, you will find high end restaurants, a 24 screen movie theater, and a variety of unique shops and boutiques. The West Side is also home to the famous Cirque du Soleil La Nouba show. Your family will also love visiting the interactive indoor theme park of Disney Quest, which boasts a variety of exciting games, thrilling simulators, and other real-life activities and experiences.
The Downtown Disney Marketplace is a shopper's dream, but is also the place to go for great food and even live entertainment. Altogether, there are over 50,000 square feet of shops at the Marketplace, including such shops as the Art of Disney, Summer Sands, Team Mickey's Athletic Club, World of Disney, and others. Dining options here including the Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and the House of Blues.
There is no charge for admission to Downtown Disney, and shuttle service is provided from other attractions throughout the Disney resort area. You can also stay on-site in the Downtown Disney area with a stay at several fine Disney resorts. Located in the Downtown Disney area are the Disney Port Orleans Resort French Quarter, the Disney Port Orleans Resort Riverside, and the Disney Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.
