From the time the holiday decorations go up at Walt Disney World in November throughout the holiday season, the year-round magic of Disney is enhanced by the holiday spirit. Throughout Disney's many theme parks and attractions, you will find special holiday events and activities to add some holiday sparkle to your Walt Disney World getaway.
At Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will find the grandest light display in the area, bringing you the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. This amazing light display features millions of sparkling lights twinkling against gently falling snow in the Streets of American section of the park. The lights are choreographed to holiday tunes for an amazing effect. This attraction originally began when an Arkansas father decorated his house in grand fashion for his daughter. As the spectacle grew year after year, the venue moved from their family home to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Explore the holiday season with a tour around the world at Epcot's Holidays Around the World. Some of the many special activities you can enjoy including holiday storytelling with Pere Noel in France, a visit from la Befana in Italy, and Hanukkah exhibits at the American Adventure Rotunda.
Also at Epcot, the annual Candlelight Processional gives you a star-studded holiday experience. This event will be a family favorite, bringing you a vivid re-telling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator along with musical accompaniment by a 50-piece orchestra. Some of the many previous narrators have included Edward James Olmos, Whoopi Goldberg, and Isabella Rossellini.
At the Magic Kingdom, you can celebrate the holidays with some of your favorite Disney characters with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This amazing event takes place on select nights in November and December, bringing you a special holiday parade and snowfall on Main Street, holiday-themed character shows, cookies and hot cocoa, and so much more.
