A car freak would enjoy the Annual Corvette Show at
Silver Springs in Ocala. If you have a pass to the special events held at
Silver Springs, then the entry to this show would be free. Else the entry fee is nominal considering that you would get to see about 200 Chevrolet Corvettes. You could even register for the show by checking out their official website and getting a printout of the registration form. Sponsored by the Corvette Club of Marion County, this event sees car enthusiasts from different parts of the country. The membership to this club would cost you a little bit but the only criterion for entering this club is ownership of a Corvette. Both new models and oldies are showcased. The money made at from this event goes for a charitable cause. At the event, there are sessions during which you could get tips on how to better maintain your Corvette, if you're a car owner. This could also prove to be a networking event. And for those of you who love the muscle cars, this show is for you. The food stalls aren't bad at all. You could carry a camera for freezing some golden moments with the car of your choice. The Corvette that was introduced in the early 1950s has gone on to become one of the most respected cars in recent times. This "show and shine" event as the organizers call it is held at the intersection of State Road 40 and County Road 35. The event to be held in November, 2008 would be the 11th annual event. The festival has grown in strength, going by the turnout.
