Sponsored through a grant from National Endowment of the humanities through the U.S. government, this exhibit travels to various places on the road and has landed at the
Discovery Science and Outdoor Center (DSOC). The museum itself is a wonder with a number of displays and interactive exhibits and features which illustrate nature and science.
The Farm Life exhibit is housed on this 23 acre park which you can explore in between different demonstrations about farm life for the past 100 years. One of the most interesting things about this special exhibit is learning how different farming was 100 years ago versus today. There was no automated machinery nor were there tractors. Some of the demonstrations show how things were done manually.
Not only will you learn about farm life (that of the farmer and his or her family), you will have that knowledge reinforced through different workshops, musical activities, interactive demonstrations and more. The entire family can become engaged in this DSOC Farm Life Exhibit in Ocala.
