Usually held in the fall in mid to late September, the Italian Festival at Silver Springs Theme Park is a true cultural experience. The foods, beverages, colors and even culture of Italy are proudly displayed throughout the park with admission to all the cultural activities included in the general cost of admission. The Italian Festival is held on different weekends, with various activities provided on each day. The local Sons of Italy group has information and displays around the theme park and add a touch of color with Italian flags and traditional costumes. In addition music, dancing, art displays and cultural activities including folksongs and Italian singers add entertainment throughout the park during the Italian Festival.
Children and adults alike will enjoy the amazing Italian food provided by Billy Bowlegs Bar and Grill, located right in Silver Springs Park. Gourmet cultural meals typically include a variety of pastas, Italian breads and sausages, salads and of course wonderful desserts such as Italian ice cream. Admission to the park includes all the Italian Festival events plus allows visitors access to the theme park rides, nature exhibits, wildlife displays as well as the many different activities that make Silver Spring Theme Park famous. Guests can enjoy a trip on a steamboat down the Silver River or even riding in a glass bottomed boat that gives a unique glimpse at the world under the water. Taking one of the many safari trips or even spending time at the kiddies petting zoo makes this a sure hit holiday for the entire family.
