The Oak Ridge Boys are one of the most famous country and gospel group.
They were a huge hit in the 1950s up to the 1970s. Even to this day, their shows draw huge crowds. Their concert at the Silver Springs in Ocala, Florida was a huge hit with the crowds.
Their smooth music and harmony was one of the reasons why people thronged to Silver Springs when the group kicked off their tour. Their Grammy numbers were played to the delight of the audience. This Nature theme park provided the perfect backdrop for their soulful melodies. "Elvira", "American Made", "Bobby Sue" were some of their more popular songs. The concert is included in the regular entry fee. The 350 acre park has many such wonderful events for the entire family. The crowd was massive; there were some 8,000 odd enthusiastic fans. Getting to the Silver Springs is not an issue at all and parking space is ample, too.
The group has played at this venue as well. This band which is touted as "America's favorite group" was a sell-out. The acoustics complements the group's high energy performance. More often than not, people join in and are completely mesmerized by the show. Even though the members have been over 30 in the many years, the band remains popular even to this day. The present line-up has seen the most commercial success and they have been around since the 1970s. The Oak Ridge Boys and their four part harmonies have become synonymous with love ballads and the happy feel.
