Sometimes, those small town festivals provide some of the most wholesome and fun entertainment and the Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival at
Zellwood Festival Fairgrounds in Zellwood, FL is no different. Held in late May, this festival features — what else — corn! Corn by the truck load is sold here, a ton a minute it seems. And with "Big Bertha," a large contraption that can boil over 1,500 ears of corn in just less than 10 minutes, you can easily get your fill of these golden ears.
You can enjoy the variety of rides and games along the fairway like traditional ferris wheels, bumper cars and games like Ring-a-Toss and the Milk Bottle Throw. There are many food vendor booths that sell more than just corn such as funnel cakes, burgers, hot dogs and cotton candy. Of course, there are vendor booths that also sell everything from even t-shirts to arts and crafts and even Florida souvenirs.
There are corn husking contests, tractor pulls, arts and crafts exhibitions and even a corn eating contest. There are also entertainment opportunities to be had too. Named entertainers have been known to perform at the festival and in the past the festival has seen Terri Clark, Steven Curtis Chapman and John Anderson.
You can purchase admission at the front gates and if you plan to partake of the many amusement rides the Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival at
